Contemporary Issues in Design (CID) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal focused on advancing theoretical, methodological, and applied research in design and related disciplines.
The journal addresses the evolving challenges of contemporary design through interdisciplinary perspectives, integrating architecture, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and visual culture.
CID is published twice a year, on June 1 and January 1.
CID serves as a platform for critical inquiry, innovation, and knowledge exchange in the rapidly transforming landscape of design theory and practice.
Author Guidelines
Authors should prepare manuscripts using the official CID template before submission.
Download Template- The manuscript should be between 4000 and 10000 words in length.
- The number of figures (including images, diagrams, and illustrations) should not exceed 7.
- All figures must be of high quality (minimum 300 dpi) and properly numbered.
- The manuscript must follow an academic structure, including introduction, methodology, results, and conclusion.
- References should be formatted according to an internationally recognized citation style (APA).
- The submission must be original and comply with plagiarism policies.
- Authors are responsible for the scientific and ethical integrity of their work.
- The article should be prepared in accordance with the requirements of the journal.
- Each of the authors mentioned in the article must be aware of their participation in the article and have given their consent.
- The author confirms that the submitted article is original and their own. Articles that have previously been submitted to other journals should not be submitted.
- The author confirms that the presented article will have a positive impact on the public, that the opinions expressed in the article are in accordance with ethical principles, and that they will not have a negative impact on people.
- If the article is accepted and published, it will be open access for everyone to see for free.
